Got a cough? Get a check

This campaign aims to increase awareness of National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellance (NICE) guidlines on Lung Cancer and spotting the early symptoms.

If you have

  • coughed up blood, and/or
  • have a changed or new cough, and/or
  • chest, shoulder and neck pain, and/or
  • shortness of breath, and/or
  • unexplained weight loss

then you should see your GP for and request a chest X-ray.

These symptoms are very common and are usually due to minor conditions like chest infections.  However, it is better to get a chest x-ray to be sure that it is nothing serious.  If you have any concerns, always discuss these with your GP or Practice Nurse.
